Several members NYSDEC Basic Wildland Search

Four (4) 4-wheel drive ATV's with winches. One tow behind
rescue trailer with Stokes litter, oxygen, BLS bag, and fracture pack. 26' enclosed transport
and equipment trailer/command center. Grid search supplies.
Two ATV mounted fire fighting pumps with portable water tanks.
Pumps can draft as well as pump foam. Chainsaws, machetes, ropes, and
hand lights. 5000 watt generator. |

 Mobile radio with 155.160MHz and local frequencies.
1 portable with 155.160MHz, 1 low band portable on 46.20MHz and 4 high band
portables on 154.600MHz. ATV;s have mounted CB radios. 2 programmable scanners along with cell phones. |

 Five fully stocked BLS bags, frac-pac, (2) stokes litters,
(3) backboards, oxygen. Basic and Intermediate EMT's. |

 All members are active firefighters. Some high/low angle
certified personnel, some ice/swift water certified personnel.
GPS equipped; computer with topographical maps. |

Search Ready K9's trained in on/off lead, rural or urban
Scent Specific trailing, air scent, cadaver (shallow grave or surface), Snow Burial
(shallow or deep), Building search, and water. All members are minimally certified in DEC Basic Wildlands
search, some with DEC Crew Boss and/or NASAR SarTech® qualifications. All members
competent in Land Navigation: map and compass and GPS.
Search Ready K-9's trained in Air Scenting (no scent material required);
Track/Trailing; Water Search; Cadaver (surface and shallow grave); Snow Burial
(shallow); Ice Work (drowning victim); Building Search; Scent discrimination.
Members have taken the DEC courses and six have taken the NASAR Managing
the Search Function. Members qualified as Team Leaders (DEC Crew Boss
Course) and competent in Land Navigation/Map & Compass.
One member is certified by NASAR as SAR Tech II. One member Certified Tracking Aware by UTS.
Mobiles and portables programmed for
155.160 MHz. 
EMT's, CFR's, and BFA. Medical Bag. 
Team owned inflatable boats w/motors. PFD's; handlers and K-9's certified
in water search. Generation III Night-Vision device, infra red detection tool (heat seeking)
